It is a common misconception that United Ways across the country are simply local chapters of United Way Worldwide. In fact, Pikes Peak United Way is one of 1,300 autonomous United Ways, each independently incorporated and entirely governed by local volunteers. The money raised for local community programs and services stays in our community.
We are completely transparent about our business with donors, advocates, volunteers, media and the general public. Above all else, Pikes Peak United Way endeavors to be trustworthy and committeed to best practices, strong ethics and financial accountability. In addition to having historically clean audits, PPUW consistently receives the highest positive ratings from the Better Business Bureau and Charity Navigator for our accountability and transparency.
