Safety Net Services

Pikes Peak United Way is committed to meeting the basic needs of families and individuals in our community through our Safety Net Services.

The services provided by our 42 Partner Agencies help address issues ranging from homelessness, poverty and physical, mental and developmental health and well being, to the care and education of children and the health and independence of seniors.

Our Goal

Address our community's most basic needs and enable individuals and families to build the foundation needed to affect positive and long-lasting change.

Our Focus

  • Provide for the immediate needs of food, shelter and safety
  • Support programs that provide access to, delivery of, and education regarding physical, mental, behavioral and developmental health
  • Increase adult self-sufficiency by providing services that help people keep or gain: stable housing, life skills, professional development, financial health and transportation
  • Support services that increase age appropriate development, life skills, and self sufficiency for children and teens
